Year 6 Parents’ Information Evening on Wednesday 26 June 2019 at 6.00pm

This is an important meeting for parents to ensure a smooth transition for Year 6 students who are transferring to The Cumberland School. This meeting will allow parents to find out vital information and ask questions. Where possible we ask that students do not accompany their parents due to space restrictions. Please enter the school by the main entrance which is in Oban Close.

Year 6 Transition Day on Thursday 27 June 2019 9am - 2.30pm

Your child will be at The Cumberland School all day to experience different lessons and get a better understanding of daily life at their new school. Students will be provided with a packed lunch on the day free of charge. Students should wear clothes and trainers suitable for PE, they are not required to wear school uniform.

All students should arrive at the main student entrance to the school on Oban Close. The gate will be open from 9:00am until 9:15am. Students will finish at 2:30pm and can be collected from the front entrance. If you would like to allow your child to return home on their own, the school will need a signed letter, with their name and primary school, giving your child permission to leave and go home alone.

The Importance of Punctuality to The Cumberland School

Poor punctuality affects learning and behaviour not only of the student who is late but also has an impact on all other learners.  The Cumberland School takes poor punctuality seriously,  students who are late will receive a 60 minute same day detention.  All students are expected to be on site by 8:30am.  Free breakfast is available from 7.30am.
