School Notice

Admit Interviews will now be taking place on Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th May 2017. We will send you a letter to confirm the date and time of your child’s interview.

The Cumberland School is pleased to announce that we are in discussion to join the Community Schools Trust with Forest Gate Community School.

We are confident that both of our schools will benefit from working together to share good practice and that, as an outstanding school, Forest Gate can contribute to Cumberland’s own journey to excellence. The Cumberland School will retain its own name, uniform and inclusive identity, just as Forest Gate Community School will retain theirs.

The Headteacher and Governors are keen to hear views on this from parents and our community.  If you would like to share your views or questions with us please send them to the email address: Contact@cumberland.org.uk by April 28th.

As Headteacher and chair of governors of Cumberland School, we remain totally committed to serving our diverse and exciting community.

Our vision statement, ‘Determined, ambitious learners’, embodies our belief that our success is dependent upon all stakeholders within our school community - pupils, staff, parents and Governors – displaying the qualities of determination and ambition and so developing as independent and successful learners.

“Aspire to Achieve”

To equip every Cumberland pupil with the knowledge and skills to develop as individuals, to contribute as citizens and to build happy and fulfilling lives.

To achieve this Vision we will:

  • Promote learning as an exciting, independent and life long activity and broaden pupil horizons and aspirations.
