End of Term Letter

 

Last Day of Term

The last day of term is Friday 14th December 2018.  Students will be dismissed from 12pm and all off site by 12.15pm. The school, including the office, will be closed by 12.30pm. There will be lunch available for children in receipt of free school meals. There will be no homework club or other interventions on that day. 

Year 11 Parents Evening

Tuesday 22nd January 2019.

School Parking - Pick Up & Drop Off

If you are a parent who drives their child/children to school can you please drop them off and pick them up from Prince Regent Lane.  Please do not drive or park down Oban Close. Please note, there is no parking on the school premises, this is for staff only.

Parent Communication

In our effort to become a more effective and environmentally friendly school, we at The Cumberland will be actively moving to a paperless system for all parent communication. Magic Breakfast

The Cumberland School is delighted to be able to offer free breakfast to all pupils every day. Breakfast is available from 7.30am. The canteen is available for pupils to study over breakfast and clubs run every morning from 8am for Y7 and Y8 pupils to attend.

sQuid Online Payments

The School uses the sQuid online payment system for all trips and school meals.
Our new catering company, Olive, provide TCS with healthy, delicious, hot and cold school meals.

Post 16 Open Events

Click here for a list of Post 16 Open Events 2018/19. Students are not to attend any held during school time other than those arranged as a group by tutors.

2018 GCSE results

The Cumberland School is delighted that so many of our year 11 students achieved the exam results needed to secure their college placements.
The school has seen a significant rise in attainment, particularly in the core subjects. 60% of students achieved a pass in both English and mathematics.

Our determination and ambition to be the most improved school in Newham is clearly on track.
